Pricing is often at the forefront of the many questions you may have when planning your project. It is also impossible to answer without a finalized and detailed design in place. We do our best to provide estimates of what to expect your unique project will cost throughout the design process. Here are a few guidelines to help know what to expect along the way.

Design Costs

Design fees are the item with the highest rate of return in the entire process. Two identically spent budgets can result in drastically different finished values simply due to their design. When planning a project be sure to plan for 5-10% of the budget to cover design fees. This will ensure the remaining budget is most effectively spent. Our fees are based on the number of hours required to properly design and plan your unique project.

New Construction Homes

The number of options when designing a new home are astonishing.  There are hundreds of options in roofing, siding, flooring, windows, doors, sinks, countertops, cabinets, decks, lighting, faucets, etc., each with a different and highly variable price tag. There are thousands of tile options alone. There are also options in framing, plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, insulation, drywall, and foundations. Many people are misled by unrealistic initial estimates that assume the cheapest of all the options. I recommend assuming $400-600 per square foot for a truly custom built home of our typical quality. Working closely with a knowledgeable designer is the best way to get the results you need while using your budget efficiently.

Kitchen Remodels

Kitchen remodeling projects can be one of the most enjoyable and rewarding renovations to do as a homeowner. Budgets for kitchens can vary widely, with the typical range for projects we have completed being between $100,000-$200,000.

Bathroom Remodels

Bathroom remodeling projects are filled with design decisions, each having a different impact on total cost. Budgets for bathroom remodels typically fall between $75,000-$150,000.

Full Home Renovations

Whole and partial home renovations come with as many design decisions as new homes, however there are restrictions and hidden problems compounded by each homes unique history of construction and renovations. Costs involved in quality renovations are too variable to estimate and must be done on a per project basis.

Home Additions

Home addition projects face challenges unique to each situation. Pricing typically falls between $500-$1000 per square foot.

Custom Cabinetry

Custom cabinetry amplifies the quality of a space by bringing precise details, unique elements, and fully customizable options. Whether it be a custom kitchen or built-in cabinets in your mudroom, our high quality cabinetry will make a statement in your home for years to come. Custom cabinetry pricing starts at $1500 per lineal foot of width with a $10k minimum per project.
