Kate sent a request for a stainless steel cable railing system through a message on Houzz after seeing another project we did that she loved. She has a young toddler which added a rush to the order to get their new house safe for him. We rushed this project and kept our high level of quality. We did custom stainless steel posts with a brushed polish and concealed anchors at the floor. On top is a black walnut handrail finished with pure tung oil cut with citrus solvent for a VOC-free finish as well as an easily restorable one. The walnut is a match to their new mid century modern home & dining set which is right next to the railing. The infill is stainless steel cable with Wagner fittings for an uber clean finish. Matching square stainless wall brackets hold the railing as it turns down toward the basement. A custom bracket is welded to the top post where the walnut makes a smooth transition around the corner and turns down to the landing.
