Warm and Comfortable Primary Bath with Sauna – Bloomfield Hills, MI

A major spatial reconfiguration of an oversized (yep, it was even bigger than this before!) bathroom brought a more intimate space with plenty of storage, gracious curbless shower, soaking tub, and a custom built radiant sauna room. We even had space left over to create a small home office/homework room and made use of the existing window layout perfectly. To get a sense of how the space was before: the tub used to be where under the office window. We used Heath Tile’s Midcentury White 2×8 tile in a stacked pattern on two walls to blend the room together and the clear cedar ceiling brings drama and exceptional warmth that blended well with the white oak millwork. The floor tile was sourced from Ciot called Origin Dessert by Caesar Ceramics in the 24×48 size.
